 Or - The Anonymous Lady The Amorous Lady Death - Philolu Why do I make the differentiation? Amorous is defined as showing feelings of sexual desire. Synonyms are lustful, sexual, erotic, and passionate. Ah! Perhaps it is the last word that could explain The Amorous's poetry most accurately. Though her identity is not known for sure, there is speculation that she is Martha Fowkes Sansom, who took to ensuring that her writings we full of expression, wit, and passionate claims and desires. The sound and feel of her writings with those of the anonymous female writer seem to be similar enough to be the same author. Plus, the alluded age, time, and place of her writings are the same for circumstances being added together to reveal who the author Might have been.  You may have never heard of The Amorous Lady of the 1700s, but in a literary world ruled by men, her style of writing was a breath of fresh air for readers.        In a plethora of ways, journalism evolves with the expansion of technology. Beginning with scribes who wrote down news passed on from merchants and sailors to the Town Crier delivering handwritten declarations from the King to subjects, expanding at the gossip table of many taverns, news of the times has found its way into the busy lives of every society. As time raced forward, the printing press ruled for hundreds of years as trained journalists shared the inside story on the pages of pamphlets, newspapers, magazines, and books of all shapes and sizes. Then the television showed Man walking on the moon, and talking heads (newscaster celebrities) were born.
